Excluding XV1™ and Dragonfly™

This limited manufacturer warranty from Metrex Research, LLC applies for all countries to the extent that no other warranty exists at that location. Metrex Research, LLC provides the following warranties (limited by the time period specified, if any) on the components and features of its Orascoptic loupe (the “Product”):

LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY on all telescopes
3-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY on frames, headbands, carrier lenses, flip-up hinges, OmniOptic™ anchors, and adhesives.
1-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY on accessory items

Under these warranties, Metrex Research, LLC warrants that all product parts, when new, and for the time period specified, will be free of defects in material and workmanship, and perform in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications, when subject to normal use and service from Metrex Research, LLC or its authorized agent for the time period of the warranty. The warranty period begins on the original date of purchase from Metrex Research, LLC.

Any warranty that is listed above as being “limited” does not cover breakage or failure due to tampering, misuse, neglect, accidents, improper installation, modification, shipping, normal wear and tear, or to improper maintenance, service or cleaning procedures. These warranties are also void if the Product is not used in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations or instructions, if serviced by a party other than Metrex Research, LLC or its authorized agent, or if the serial number has been removed or altered in any way.

During the warranty period, defective units (at the sole discretion of Metrex Research, LLC), will be repaired or replaced either by Metrex Research, LLC or by authorized dealer. The client will receive either the repaired unit or a comparable replacement unit from Metrex Research, LLC. There is no extended or renewed warranty period for repaired or replaced parts. Exchanged parts or accessory parts become the property of Metrex Research, LLC. It shall be the purchaser’s responsibility to return the Product, in appropriate packing materials, so as to prevent accidental breakage in transit, and sufficiently cleaned and disinfected, directly to Metrex Research, LLC or one of its authorized agents. Metrex Research, LLC reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse to repair or replace the Product if the Product is deemed to be unsanitary. It will be the responsibility of the purchaser to arrange for the Product to be returned to the purchaser for appropriate cleaning and sanitation, and the purchaser shall be responsible for all shipping charges.

In no event shall Metrex Research, LLC’s liability be greater than the original purchase price of the product, nor shall Metrex Research, LLC be held liable for consequential or special damages, or for transportation, installation, adjustment or other expenses, which may arise in connection with such products or parts. This warranty applies only to purchasers in the United States of America (USA), Canada or to units sold to and by authorized and approved international dealers. These warranties are non-transferable and shall only apply to the original purchaser of the Product, as exclusively contained in Metrex Research, LLC’s records. THESE WARRANTIES ARE EXCLUSIVE AND ARE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER STATEMENTS, WARRANTIES OR GUARANTEES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, BY Metrex Research, LLC OR ITS AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE, INCLUDING WARRANTIES WITH RESPECT TO DESCRIPTION, QUALITY, MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. The limits and exclusions contained herein shall apply unless otherwise prohibited by applicable law.

XV1 and Dragonfly Loupe + Light

This limited manufacturer warranty from Metrex Research LLC applies for all countries to the extent that no other warranty exists at that location. Metrex Research LLC provides the following warranties (limited by the time period specified, if any) on the components and features of its Orascoptic XVI loupe and light (the Product):

LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY on telescopes
2-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY on the XV1 frame, headlight, and electrical components
3-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY on carrier lenses and adhesives
1-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY on XV1 batteries

Endeavour™ LED Light System

This limited manufacturer warranty from Metrex Research, LLC dba Orascoptic applies for all countries to the extent that no other warranty exists at that location. Pursuant to the following contractual provisions, Metrex guarantees material, construction and design to be free of deficiencies from the time of first purchase.

This limited liability applies for the end purchaser of the product (Client). Legal claims by the client or claims by the client against the seller/dealer of the device are neither excluded nor limited.
The standard limited warranty for the Product is 12 months for the battery pack assembly and 36 months for the LED headlight cable, from the time of purchase by the original purchaser. The standard limited warranty applies to the battery pack assembly and all accessory items included with the product. These warranties are non-transferable and shall only apply to the original purchaser of the Product, as exclusively contained in Metrex records.
During the warranty period, defective units (according to unilateral decision by Metrex), will be repaired or replaced either by Metrex or by authorized customer service. The client will receiveeither the repaired unit or a comparable replacement unit from Metrex. Exchanged parts or accessory parts become the property of Metrex.
There is no extended or renewed warranty period for repaired or replaced parts.
This limited warranty does not apply for painted or otherwise personalized parts.
This limited warranty does not apply to abnormal signs of use. In addition, this limited warranty does not apply if:
1. The deficiency has been caused by misuse of the instructions for operation, inappropriate use, contact with fluids or moisture or extreme heat or climatic conditions and/or short term variations in relevant influences or to corrosion, oxidation, unauthorized intervention or attempts at connection, unauthorized opening or repair, repair attempts with unacceptable replacement parts, abnormal installation, accidents, forces majeure, spillage of food or drinks, chemical influences or other influences over which Metrex has no control (including deficiencies to operational parts such as batteries that only have a limited lifespan, as well as damage to cables), unless the deficiency is caused by a material, construction or fabrication error.
2. The client does not report the deficiency within 30 days after it was discovered within the Metrex warranty period or to an authorized customer service agent.
3. The serial number has been removed, scratched off, crossed out, changed or is illegible.
4. The deficiency was caused by the fact that the device was used with a part not approved for use by Metrex, was connected to such a part or was otherwise used inappropriately.
This limited warranty is the only legal remedy of the client against Metrex as well a Metrex only and exclusive liability to the client for deficiencies and functional disruptions of the device. This limited warranty replaces all other warranties and declarations of liability, whether in written or oral form, or other (not urgently enforceable) legal provisions, contractual provisions or nonallowed negotiations. Metrex is in no way liable for ancillary, causal or collateral damage, costs or expenses. If the client is a legal person, Metrex assumes no liability for collateral damages, costs or expenses.
For assertion of a warranty claim, the original purchase receipt with purchase date is to be enclosed.
Changes to this limited warranty require the previous written approval of Metrex

Endeavour™ XL LED Light System

This limited liability applies for the end purchaser of the product (Client). Legal claims by the client or claims by the client against the seller/dealer of the device are neither excluded nor limited.
