Orascoptic's New Revolution Loupe Combines TTL and Flip-Up Features
Orascoptic, the leader in vision solutions for dental professionals, introduces the Revolution – the industry's first hybrid loupe that combines through-the-lens and flip-up technology. As with a traditional through-the-lens (TTL) design, the telescopes of the Revolution loupe are permanently affixed within the product's carrier lenses. However, unlike any other loupe on the market, the carrier lenses themselves flip up, affording the user completely unobstructed vision to consult with clients or review a patient chart.
The Revolution merges Orascoptic's award-winning HiRes® line of magnification telescopes with an innovative frame designed by Italian eyewear icon Rudy Project®. The top-selling telescopes in the industry, Orascoptic's HiRes line is renowned for its superior resolution and field width. The sporty Rudy Project frame employs a proprietary hinge element that is extremely durable and remarkably lightweight. So lightweight in fact, that the entire loupe weighs less than two ounces.
For years, dentists and hygienists have had to choose between a TTL or flip-up style when purchasing a loupe. While the Revolution can be worn strictly as an ultra sporty TTL, the hinged carrier lenses offer practitioners the best features of both designs – the light weight of a TTL and the convenience of a flip up. No longer will TTL wearers have to repeatedly take their loupes off of their head when they are not utilizing magnification. And those that prefer flip-ups finally have an alternative to the heavy, cumbersome hinges that often cause discomfort.
The Revolution is available with a black frame only, and magnification options include Class II or Class III power. Prescriptions can be accommodated through a unique Rx insert for a small additional cost.
