Orascoptic DK™ Pro is a comprehensive diagnostic kit that features unique instruments paired with a handheld LED light source that is battery-powered. The DK Pro includes transilluminator, fiber lite, and lighted mirror instruments. The DK transillulmination instrument emits an intense, focused beam of light to help visualize crown fractures and caries in teeth. This device makes it easy to identify anterior and posterior proximal caries. The DK fiber lite instrument uses a disposable fiber, placed in the fiber lite instrument and illuminated by the LED light source, that aids in detecting root fractures (by placing the fiber in the gingival sulcus), visual inspection of the canal, as well as caries detection in small or limited access areas. The DK fiber lite instrument also can be used with a disposable fiber with 3, 5 and 7mm tick marks on it to help measure periodontal recession. The tick marks illuminate to provide added visualization for measuring pocket depth. The DK lighted mirror utilizes the LED light source to illuminate the mirror's reflection. This is the perfect instrument to increase visual acuity in those hard to see places within a patient's mouth.
